The Mayan Gold - Unique Cocoa Varieties

Ceremonial cocoa

The cacao trees in the Guatemalan jungle are direct descendants of the trees cultivated by the Maya over 3000 years ago, and have been growing and reproducing since the years before the Spanish invasion in 1524. Less than 5% of the world's cacao production meets the high quality standards we produce on our MAYA KINGDOM farms.
Our plantations are designed as model farms for cocoa cultivation and combine ancient knowledge with state-of-the-art techniques.

  • Separate approximately 20-25g of cocoa from the block.
  • Measure ten times the amount of water (200-250ml).
  • Heat to approximately 60-65 degrees Celsius. The water should boil, but not bubble.
